All of us at the Hawaii Marlin Tournament Series would like to offer a big MAHALO for a fantastic 2019 Tournament Season, and CONGRATULATIONS to all who caught fish and/or were lucky enough to win, place or show.
It was truly one of the most memorable tournament seasons on record, highlighted by Craig Lindner Jr.’s walkaway Championship with Capt. Teddy Hoogs and crew on board “Bwana” – and – Keith Hilton’s “grander” on Marlin Magic II, weighing in at 1,035.5 pounds.
The 33rd Big Island Marlin Tournament had to have been the most exciting big game competition in the history of the sport, with dramatic daily changes on the leaderboard, and Hilton’s “grander” on the final day.
Back to back 6 fish days on board “Last Chance” started it all off, but amazingly, did not stick with such intense competition.
