The Kona Classic Returns after a few years not on the schedule. The Classic has been donated to the charter school Miloli’i Hipuu Virtual Academy and all proceeds from the event will be retained by the school. The school is a fully registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit under the name “Kalanihale”. It is a 40 mile round trip from this remote village to the nearest school, so the establishment of the Academy is important. Sponsorship and contribution funds are all 100% property of the school.  Here are some images from a recent public information and celebration day with Pa’a Pono Miloli’i and the Opelu Project, at the school: last village the class halau kaimi and uncle     mom and kid kids at canoe opelu fishing display tidal pools  tutu hat library scaled  having fun willie and tutu lagoon   We will be updating the tournament entry forms and rules in the near future, so please check back often. A copy of these rules is supplied to each team prior to fishing and is also available HERE>
