Kona’s signature “Big Game” Tournament that scores Ahi and Marlin points for the Base Purse.

Optional Categories for the Largest Marlin and Ahi of Each Day, for both days of this Two Day Tournament.

July 2nd       Registration – 1:00PM til 5:00PM at HMT Series office, Fuel Dock, upstairs unit H

5:00PM til 8:00PM Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club

July 3rd       7:00AM to 4:00PM – Fishing    SATURDAY

July 4th       *8:30AM to 4:30PM – Fishing    SUNDAY

IGFAAll HMTS Tournaments abide by the International Game Fishing Association’s International Angling Rules – Rules for Fishing in Fresh and Salt Water. A copy of these rules is supplied to each team prior to fishing and is also available HERE.

The crew of BENCHMARK stands with a 517 pound Blue Marlin caught by Andy Shiels! This fish was good for $121,740.00!

2017:

$101,350.00 Winner: KRISTA-O

Capt. Mike Oshiro led angler Darren Hayashi to the Largest Marlin of Day One of the Firecracker Open in Kona, Hawaii. David Magallanes was, and shall always be Mike’s right hand fishin’ patnah. With Uncle Kimo on the assist, Darren’s marlin went 533 pounds to best the 470.5 pounder caught previously on “End of the Line.”
