BIG ISLAND MARLIN TOURNAMENT

The event that started it all off in 1986.

The BIMT was the very first high stakes, big game tournament in Hawaii to pay a cash purse that was outlined in Black and White and adhered to (really)! It was the first to pay cash for tag and release.

The Base Entry pays the Top Three Largest Marlin!

Optionals pay Most Points and Largest Marlin per Day!

All HMTS Tournaments abide by the International Game Fishing Association’s International Angling Rules – Rules for Fishing in Fresh and Salt Water. A copy of these rules is supplied to each team prior to fishing and is also available HERE.
